Fitness Level;- Complete slackers need not apply..! You should be in good physical condition. We recommend that you are running regularly. You will need strong mental endurance to complete the course and overcome the obstacles...!
Distance;- 5k or 10k, each race is made up of five kilometre laps, so the choice is yours, one or two laps!
Starting Order;- Competitors will start in groups of 100 in 15min intervals, start times will be issued one week prior to the race. The first race will start at 10am, first safety brief will be at 9am.
Timing;- The UK’s most advanced Timing System;- Live Results Screen at Finish, with enquiry keypad and ticket printer. Race timing chips and race numbers should be collected from registration on the day of the race. Timing chips should be attached to your shoe, instructions will be provided. (Do not wear it on your wrist or anywhere else on your body as it will not record your time!
Warm Up;- Enrgize health and fitness will be running the race warm up, courtesy of Anthony Flint. We strongly recommend you attend the pre-race warm up as correct warm up is essential in preventing muscle and ligament injuries.
Sports Massage Therapy;- Provided by Nina Flint, a highly skilled Sports Massage Therapist, Nina will be on hand to deal with those muscular aches and pains.
Safety Brief;- There will be a compulsory race safety brief. This will take place approximately one hr before your start time, the safety brief is mandatory for all competitors. You will be issued with a wrist band after the briefing, runners without a wrist band will not be allowed to start the race.
Marshals;- Our event marshals are highly skilled outdoor professionals! Their combined experience includes expeditions to the poles, mountaineers, water safety technicians, world champion athletes and some of the best the British Military has to offer, your safety is of paramount importance....!
First Aid;- St John's ambulance service will provide first aid. The first aid post will be located at the start/finish line. There will be four wheel drive ambulances and response vehicles equipped with defibrillators around the course. There will also be cycle response first aiders around the course.
Race Numbers;- Will be collected from race registration on the day of the race. Race numbers should be pinned to the front of your running vest.
Start Times and a full event information;- Will be sent by email the week before your race.
Key Storage;- We do not offer kit storage but we will look after your car keys so you can leave a change of clothes, towel etc in your vehicle. Please note that the event organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses.
Results;- Race times will be posted on this web site 24hrs after the race. Competitors will be given a five day right to appeal before results are officially awarded.. Race times will be calculated on gun time, as per UK Athletics rules.
Complimentary;- Each competitor will receive;- Technical t-shirt, drink, goodie bag, timing chip, free parking.
Spectators;- Are welcome free of charge, please note all spectators must remain in the designated viewing areas. It will be possible for spectators to view almost all of the main challenges!
